

Launched earlier this year, the “Invest in Brasil Net-Zero Solutions” program aims to attract and support international companies with innovative decarbonization technologies that align with the goals of the New Industry Brazil policy (Nova Indústria Brasil) to reduce the country’s carbon footprint.
Brazil – The Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil), with support from the Brazilian Petroleum and Gas Institute (IBP), through its innovation hub iUP, and decarbonization specialist investor, the Climate Investment (CI), announced today the selection of 10 innovative international companies to participate in market entry activities in Brazil by the end of the year.
These selected companies are developing disruptive solutions focused on industrial decarbonization, aimed at both mitigating and adapting to climate change. Their solutions include technologies for carbon capture and storage, AI-based energy efficiency, methane emissions monitoring in line with OGMP 2.0, and second-generation biofuels. Below is the list of shortlisted companies.
The “Invest in Brasil Net-Zero Solutions” program is in its inaugural edition. Launched during CERAWeek 2025 in March, the program received applications from 17 international companies, all of which offered solutions aligned with the main goal of Mission No. 5 of the New Industry Brazil policy: to reduce emissions from Brazilian industry per value added by 30% by 2033.
Between May and June 2025, the registered companies participated in virtual training sessions led by the iUP, in which opportunities and challenges related to innovation in the Brazilian energy sector.
In the second phase, ApexBrasil, with support from IBP and the National Confederation of Industry (CNI), will provide customized business strategy and business development services for the selected companies. They will be invited to participate in an in-person immersion in Brazil in October during OTC Brasil 2025.

Now, internationally established solutions involving carbon capture and storage (CCUS), methane gas emissions reduction, and the identification of new clean energy sources will receive support from ApexBrasil to develop their market entry strategy, business development, and finally, an immersion in the Brazilian market, which will take place during OTC Brasil.” Helena Brandão, Investment Manager at ApexBrasil
