  • Each company has demonstrated its commercial viability and potential to deliver significant near-term carbon emissions reductions

Houston, March 3, 2022 – On March 8th, 16 companies from the portfolio of OGCI Climate Investment (OGCI CI), a specialist decarbonization investor, will present their technologies at CERAWeek’s innovation forum in Houston, TX[1].

OGCI CI has invested into each company or project through its inaugural $1.1 billion Catalyst Fund, operational since 2017. The fund’s objective is to invest in companies or projects that can deliver carbon reduction and to accelerate time to commercial scale through pilots and deployment with the network of OGCI member companies. This differentiated approach catalyzes investees’ commercial development, opening new markets and customer opportunities, enabling long-range growth planning and emissions reduction estimates.

“We are proud of the strides our companies have made in enabling carbon reduction today with the potential for a much larger impact as they grow. We look forward to showcasing their capabilities at CERAWeek where many potential customers can consider adopting these innovations to support them on their journey to net-zero,” commented Dr. Pratima Rangarajan, CEO of OGCI Climate Investment.

All nine of the companies in the Catalyst Fund’s methane emissions reduction portfolio are presenting, alongside five (of nine) carbon dioxide emissions reduction-focused companies and two (of seven) carbon capture, use and storage companies.
